LAFC competed against RLS Arizona in the semi-final game. Carlos Alvarez netted a first half goal and their defense made it standup in a back and forth game. LAFC lost Francisco Cantero late in the second half after he was sent off for a second bookable offense. RSL Arizona had their chances with a man advantage be ultimately where unable to breakthrough and LAFC held on to the lead to book a place in the Super Y-League North American Final.
LAFC faced Red Bull New York on Tuesday for their shot at the title. The teams remained scoreless in the first half but took control of the game in the second. Early into the second half Luke Kurzon scored amidst a scramble in the box. Then Jonathan Gamez scored a header with 15 minutes left to play to cinch the North American title for LAFC.
