Eric grew up in Pasadena and played his earliest soccer with AYSO in
Arcadia. He attended St. Francis High School and played on the Varsity team
all four years.
At St. Francis, Eric was selected Second Team All League as a sophomore and
First Team All CIF as a Junior and Senior. As a Junior Eric was MVP in
scoring and, finished joint-top scorer as a senior, with 21 goals. In 1996,
Eric's senior year, St. Francis High School won the CIF Championship. During
his high school years, Eric played his club soccer with Santa Anita Sting
and AGSS.
Eric attended Cal Poly Pomona University, playing as a starter all four
years. He was twice selected All Tournament Team and during his junior year,
Cal Poly Pomona was ranked third nationally in Division Two.
After he completed college, Eric joined the coaching staff of St. Francis
High School where he teamed up with his old coach, Glen Appels. St. Francis
HS has made the CIF Play-offs every year and has twice won the CIF
Championship in the six years Eric has worked as an assistant coach.
Over the years Eric has worked at camps across the South West, including
California, Arizona and Wyoming. Currently, Eric holds a State "E" License
and plans to further his credentials in the future. He is single and
currently lives in Sierra Madre.
