2nd Annual Golf Classic—A Hole-In-One!

The Second Annual LAFC Golf Classic Was a Huge Success! The weather was perfect, the setting was beautiful and the players all had a lot of fun. LAFC filled the course with 36 foursomes and we filled the banquet room with great auction items. Don Sheppard was an outstanding host and auctioneer and he reminded us all of the goal we were striving towards—to enable any child who wants to play with LAFC the financial means to do so and the fields to play on.
What made this event so special was that every team in the club supported and participated in the tournament in some way. To date, the tournament has netted over $80,000, which will be used for player scholarships and for the development of fields in the area.
Fundraising is a necessary part of the Club experience. At LAFC we want to ensure that any child who has the skills to play soccer will not be turned away because of financial hardship. Club fees do not cover scholarships for other players but rather pays for coach’s fees, overhead costs and fields. Fundraising is the key to funding scholarships.
