LAFC Cosmos Boys
Name: Austin Gartside
Team: BU15 Gold
Accolades:
Austin played in both games this weekend with our BU15 Gold team and helped the team to a well deserved 4 points. He played excellent in his usual position as a defender on Saturday up in Santa Barbara and really showed his qualities in stepping up and accepting the challenge of replacing our suspended goalkeeper for Sundays game. He played in goal for the entire game, making many good saves and actually saved a P.K in a tight 2-1 win vs. Laguna Niguel.
Congratulations to Austin and all of his teammates in helping him earn this award.

LAFC Cosmos Girls
Name: Kelly Synold
Team: GU15 Gold
Accolades: The GU15 is improving week to week and this Sunday was by far our most complete performance. We changed our style slightly to encourage the girls to play a more attacking brand of soccer and by playing Kelly as a withdrawn forward we were able to put West Coast on the back foot and create many goalscoring opportunities. She hit the bar with a great shot from distance that was hit with both accuracy and power.
Congratulations to Kelly and all of her teammates in helping her earn this award.

LAFC Cosmos Boys - Youngers
Name: Seth Burum
Team: BU11 East
Accolades: Seth scored a goal in a game where the team was struggling to get anything going. He continued to hustle and would not be denied. Off a corner kick Seth came crashing in from the top of the 18 yard box and connected on a great header that put the ball in the upper corner.
Congratulations to Seth and all of his teammates in helping him earn this award.

LAFC Cosmos Girls - Youngers
Name: Kayleigh McDiarmid
Team: LAFC GU11 White
Accolades: Kayleigh scored the winning goal in Saturday’s game to help her team secure their 3rd shut-out victory of the league season in their 1 - 0 win over the Bakersfield Gunners. Kayleigh’s continuous efforts throughout the game finally paid off with 10 minutes left to play in the game when she made a long run down the flank of the field to score on a cross from Jackie Partida. Kayleigh has now scored a goal in every one of the team’s league victories.
Congratulations to Kayleigh and all of her teammates in helping her earn this award.
