Accolades:
Eric is a defensive midfielder that never stops working and fighting for his teammates. He is the type of player that every coach would want in his team. He always works hard and has a great attitude and is often overlooked when evaluating the teams’ performances He is a crucial cog in our midfield engine. he does the dirty work and somehow makes it look pretty. He had an excellent game against the top team in the bracket and continues to improve week after week.

Name: Merrick Ives (Ricki)
Team: GU15 Gold
Accolades: Goalkeepers make mistakes and it often results in a goal for the opposition. Playing at the highest level possible in her age group means any time Ricki makes a mistakes the ball usually ends up in her net. At the game on Saturday the defensive unit was stretched at times and she had to make some brave and important saves. Keeping a clean sheet in the Gold Bracket isn’t easy... at times she made it look that way.

LAFC Cosmos Boys - Youngers
Name: Michael Selsor
Team: BU13 West
Accolades:
The Boys U13 Team had a great weekend with a tie and a win in a very tight Silver Elite North Bracket. One of the reasons being the great defensive efforts from the 4 backs as well as the goalkeeper. In a 1-1 against a good CV team Michael made several crucial saves, including a spectacular save from a PK to keep his teams lead at 1-0. In a 1-0 against LAFC East Michael made catch after catch and save after save, not dropping any shots to preserve the 1-0 lead and then win for his team.

LAFC Cosmos Girls - Youngers
Name: Noelle Garcia
Team: LAFC GU13 White
Accolades: In the first of 2 matches over the weekend Noelle Garcia, an attacking midfielder, added to her points tally for the season by assisting on a goal vs. Rangers and receiving high praise from the Fullerton coach for her play. In the second match of the weekend and having set a team goal to win, Noelle came off the bench and helped her team by scoring 3 goals including an impressive 30 yard shot from the run of play. In addition to her goals she also added an assist to move the team past claremont stars with a 5-0 win.
